The District Parent Advisory Committee (DPAC) is a district-level advisory group that supports the Cultural Education Department. Members help guide programs that serve students in the Heritage Language Program and Title VI.
This meeting will include updates on program goals and the upcoming school year, and we welcome your input as we continue to strengthen services for our students and families.

At last night’s school board meeting, we had the pleasure of recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of our students in both academics and athletics. Board members, faculty, and staff came together to honor the dedication, hard work, and perseverance our students display. A huge congratulations to all our award recipients!
We honored the TSA (Technology Student Association), BPA (Business Professionals of America), Young Marines, Hiroshi Miyamura High School's Girls and Boys Wrestling teams, Gallup High School Lady Bengals, Ramah High School winners of the New Mexico Governor's STEM Challenge, and students involved in Project Search.
Your hard work sets a shining example for your peers, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Thank you for making our school community proud.








Now entering its 11th year at GMCS, Project SEARCH is an internationally recognized transition-to-work program that has served more than 40 students, helping prepare them for competitive, integrated employment in our community.

The Miyamura HS School of Business proudly invites our community, families, and partners to attend the Spring Project Showcase on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Gym II, Miyamura High School.
This showcase highlights the hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking of our students as they present their business projects and ideas. It’s a great opportunity to see how students are developing real-world skills in innovation, leadership, and business planning.

This past weekend marked our 4th Annual Na'nitin Dóó Ihoo' aah Shilá K'ee Silá GMCS Cultural Education Department Language Conference! Next week, students from across Gallup-McKinley County Schools will travel to Albuquerque, NM (March 18–21) to compete in the New Mexico SkillsUSA State Conference.
Even though the conference falls during Spring Break, our students and advisors have chosen to dedicate their time to represent their schools and showcase their technical skills, leadership, and professionalism on the state stage. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and hard work.
